“Le Rêve du Mandrill” | An Homage to Henri Rousseau by Kareem Moumina

Inspired by my earlier work "The Mandril" (2021) and Henri Rousseau's whimsical worlds, this work delves into a mandrill's dreamscape where flora and fauna coexist. With golden light, vibrant petals, secretive birds, and wide-eyed creatures, it explores the wild poetry of nature and the surreal spaces between memory, instinct, and imagination.

Exploring Antarctica | Kareem Moumina w/ Viking Antarctica Expeditions

This journey marks a significant period when I began to reflect on and truly appreciate the remarkable world around me. My eyes opened to a planet far beyond my imagination, and I realized that the only way to grasp it entirely was to experience it firsthand. What thrilled me the most was the vastness of Antarctica. Seeing just a tiny fraction of the continent, I was eager to explore more. The vibrant colors, the unique wildlife, and the interactions with people made this trip unforgettable. Walking on an uninhabited continent felt both majestic and surreal—a place that remained as untouched as it should be, and may it always stay that way.
